About Isman Tanuri
I am a Digital Customer Advocate in the Social Web age.
‘Ask not what social media can do for your company but what it can do for your customer’
I am passionate about marketing and technology, so I am blessed to be in the midst of a social revolution to make a difference.
I adore the unknown, love challenges and look forward to growing. Life-long learning is a passion. I would like to go to this class if anyone is willing to sponsor :)
What I Do
I am currently a Marketing Communications Executive at Hogg Robinson Group, responsible for its online and offline marketing communications initiatives for HRG Singapore (external and internal) and HRG Hong Kong (external). I used to work for Oracle Corporation as a Business Analyst in Oracle’s APAC Alliances & Channels organisation from October 2007 till February 2010. Smashing time.
I also used to run and manage Fruit Records with my Dearest Wife. We still have nice music on our Myspace, so check it out. Fruit Records thought me a thing or two about business and why customers are the most important element in your business. Value them.
I made many real friends at Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay for 5+ years of my life.
You can view my Digital Professional Portfolio or my resume. Or connect with me on LinkedIn.
What Have I Achieved…So Far
Academically, I achieved a Bachelor of Arts (Hons, First Class) in Marketing Management (Northumbria University) and also a Gold Award winner for top academic performance in my Diploma in Sales & Marketing studies (Marketing Institute of Singapore).

Why ‘groovygenie’?
I was once on IRC, THAT social apps if you are old enough to remember. It is an IRC ‘handle’ that stuck. Courtesy of brokenbudgie and raggedrobin.

Hey Isman,

Stay cool and yes… groovy!
